HCV - The Indian Face

Specific Objectives:

• To determine what fraction of hospital attendances is due to liver disease - inpatients and Outpatients. Analytical studies of etiological factors will also be undertaken.


• The pattern and frequencies of hospitalization due to liver diseases and HCV and its outcome - morbidity pattern.


• The health care resources utilization patterns in liver diseases in India.


• The economic burden of liver diseases and HCV infections - individual as well as state.


• Mortality frequencies and causes.
